Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified Suppliers on behalf of the Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department for a laser powder bed fusion system, which will be used to conduct novel research in the area of additive manufacturing of metallic materials. Particular research topics include: 1) additive manufacturing of multi-materials; 2) structural design of bimodal metallic materials; 3) additive manufacturing of multi-phase metallic materials; and 4) post-processing of 3D printed components for improved properties.
