Plan, Design, Fabricate and Install Historical Exhibits for State Historical Society of Iowa

Description
The State Historical Society of Iowa, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, is seeking eligible respondents who can provide planning, design, fabrication and installation of high-quality museum exhibits. This includes exhibits at the State Historical Museum of Iowa, in the Mobile Museum, the Iowa History Research Center, and potentially at one or more of the Society’s eight historic sites throughout the state. The immediate objective will be to produce a new exhibit (working title “Iowa Civics”) to be housed in the existing Mobile Museum vehicle.
In any exhibit developed under this contract, museum staff will be responsible for developing themes, conducting research, selecting objects and images, and writing all text. Exhibitions are updated and changed periodically. It is anticipated (but not guaranteed) that one exhibition will be created per year under this master agreement. The scope of work, cost and scheduling for future exhibitions will be coordinated between the Respondent and the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs management.
