Description

The State of Iowa DAS Central Procurement on behalf of the Department of Corrections is seeking qualified Bidder to provide (design, fabricate, fit, and maintain) prosthetics, orthotic and orthopedic devices and related services to incarcerated individuals from all of the nine (9) Department of Corrections institutions throughout the State of Iowa. Bidder must provide off the shelf and custom fitting, delivery, adjustment, invoicing and billing for prosthetics, orthotic and orthopedic devices. Incarcerated Individuals from the Department of Corrections are currently taken for medical treatment to the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics (UIHC), orthopedics department. When further work is needed to be done on prosthetics, the UIHC has an agreement with American Prosthetics & Orthotics (HANGER), Inc, which is housed on the UIHC campus. The Department of Corrections currently has an agreement with American Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc. – now Hanger to provide these devices and services. This agreement has expired. 2021 Spend – $19240.10 for 40 devices 2022 Spend - $9458.55 for 21 Devices
