The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (Agency) is exploring the development of a statewide consultation service designed to support qualified healthcare providers in conducting child abuse medical assessments for children referred by Agency child protection workers. This initiative would involve partnering with a Child Protection Center or Child Advocacy Center to establish and maintain a network of trained healthcare providers strategically located throughout Iowa.
