Description
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking qualified Bidders for Ambient Air Quality Monitoring and Analysis and calibrating instrument for Gas Analyzers and Accessories to establish a multiyear contract for the Thermo Fisher Scientific ambient instruments.
Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments are generally priced as a base unit with options. DNR purchases the options required for their network. The three monitoring organizations purchase replacement parts and any accessories that they may need to keep the instrument running.
The DNR future purchases are to keep our existing monitoring networks operational, and purchases are for instruments that DNR already operates. The DNR has extensive training, Standard Operating Procedure’s (SOP), and experience with the instrument. The DNR has their own instrument funds and regularly purchase, test, and develop SOP's for other instrument that they feel may be good additions to the monitoring network.
The State of Iowa currently has an extensive network of the current gaseous instruments with similar user interfaces and menu systems and an established method of interfacing these instruments with existing data acquisition systems for data validation and real-time and national database reporting. The State of Iowa, DNR, UHL and local programs in both Polk and Linn Counties are utilizing instrumentation.
The instrument will be installed, operated, and removed at the State of Iowa, DNR, UHL and local programs in both Polk and Linn Counties. The instruments must comply with the Iowa Quality Assurance Project Plan.
