Computer Science Week – Event Coordination

Description
The State of Iowa objectives are to work closely with the Department of Education to:
• Coordinate the venue for the week of June 10, 2024.
• Facilitate registration and communication about the event.
• Serve as the fiscal agent for the event.
• Coordinate and communicate discounted lodging options for attendees.
• Find and coordinate facilitators and 1 keynote presenter.
• Find and coordinate volunteers for the event.
• Find and coordinate vetted computer science curriculum providers
This RFP is to facilitate a Computer Science Professional Development Week this summer in June for the Department of Education. The goal of the professional learning is to feature a multitude of professional development opportunities for attendees related to K-12 Computer Science and Information Technology education. This will be a large-scale event with approximately 500 attendees including educators, administrators, counselors and coaches.
