Description
The Iowa Department of Human Services (“Agency”) intends to contract for delivery of high quality healthcare services for the Iowa Medicaid, Iowa Health and Wellness Plan, and Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa (hawk-i) programs. The Agency intends for the contract(s) resulting from this solicitation to provide service in IA Health Link, Iowa’s Medicaid managed care program alongside existing contractors. The Agency is currently operating with three Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and is seeking to contract with additional MCOs.
The Agency intends to contract on a statewide basis with one (1) or more bidders with a demonstrated capacity to coordinate care and provide quality outcomes for the Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) populations. The IA Health Link program enrolls the majority of the Iowa Medicaid and CHIP populations. The final number of awarded contracts under this RFP will be determined at the sole discretion of the Agency.
